Agreté was created out of a need to solve real world problems from people in the agronomy industry. We have a great deal of experience in the industry, and wanted to create a simple and useful tool to digitize some of our processes. We set out to build software because we wanted to be effective and efficient at the basics without the software getting in the way.
Our name comes from the greek word, areté, which means excellence and goodness-or in other words, virtue. We act with integrity and fairness in our software, and seek to treat all of our clients like we would want to be treated.
Nimble; deft. We care a lot about the feed back we get and tailor our software to fit the needs we discover, rather than leading with our own vision and making everyone else conform to it.
Areté means excellence and goodness— or in other words, virtue. Virtue is not just the state of being good, but the actions of doing good. We believe that when we act virtuously, we are fulfilling our Maker’s purpose for our work. So we begin every decision with this foundational purpose of virtue. This means we go the extra mile to ensure integrity and fairness in our software, and we seek to treat those we do business with as we would treat ourselves.
We plow our own furrow. We create and invent, not merely to be modern, but to solve problems. We think outside the box to give our clients the tools they need to step up their operations.
